Christmas time in Fairhope...

If you've never visited you must and if you live here you already know, there is nothing more beautiful than Fairhope during the Holidays! 

We love this time of year when the tree lined streets are aglow with thousands of white Christmas lights.

The kids and I are going window shopping downtown tonight so be sure to stop back for more photos of Fairhope at Christmas time!

What does a photo mean to you?

I often ponder that question , here is a quote I found it to be quite very powerful , sorry I don't know the source.  "If there's no photographs, then there's no history" 

Mercer kid's holiday photo day!

It was the annual holiday photo card shoot today, a dreaded day of...... will I get anything worth sending to all our dearest friends and family? and I am happy to say YES!!!!!!!!

Unlike the previous years full of tears and bribery this came as quite a shock to me, they all smiled and listen. I still can't believe it myself, now instead of a re-shoot I have 3 amazing photos to choose from, so please help me decide by commenting on your favorite. The chosen photo will be photoshopped to say Happy Holidays like photo #1 and used as the family holiday card, the others will be proudly displayed in our home. I must give a special thanks to Mr. A for the use of his awesome vintage truck.

A sneak peak....

I started this project back in July, I didn't know where it would lead or who I'd meet along the way but it has been a journey. One filled with moments of ah! and tears  and countless hours trying to get these tiny bundles of joy to fall asleep sometimes in the most peculiar of places. Each photograph has a special connection to the parents field of work or life's passion. I'd like to Thank all the Moms and just say how much I love each and every one of those precious babies!!!

Welcome to Pixie Hollow...

Fall has finally arrived just in time or should I say to soon. The dining room has now been transformed into a fairy wonderland in preparation for tomorrow shoot , we must keep or subject comfortable especially when they're only a mere 7 days old. Lucy was gracious enough to step in for a test run, what little girl would like to stay past bedtime and play dress up.

I just adore my Emily Jewel, she is so funny and yet so serious and our test photo shoot at the secret garden today was a blast. You can't tell but she was like a jumping bean the whole time and I am glad my camera captures 8 frames a second or we might not have any photo of our precious 3 year old.

If you smile, I'll take you for ice cream after the shoot.
