About Me

Kate @ ramblingsfromutopia: Fairhope, Alabama, United States; I was employed for 16 glorious years in my dream job as a Newspaper Photojournalist, those days are gone for good, but I stay busy being a Mom to 4 kids, running a business and renovating a shack in Alabama, blogging about our semi-dysfunctional life, and using my camera to capture the otherwise unbelievable.

Scheduling Newborns

If you’re thinking about having a newborn photo session, try to get it scheduled before the baby arrives and newborn photos are best if taken within the first two weeks of the birth. And don’t worry if it seems too overwhelming to have a photographer at your house when the baby is so young, you are totally welcome to be in pjs during the whole shoot.
